🚧 CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:

A number of sinkholes have appeared on the property which restricts access to the lawn in some areas. These areas are cordoned off for guest safety. In 2026, repairs to the seawall will begin and will continue into 2027. The work will involve excavation and seawall reinforcement work with heavy equipment. The ambiance of Hale Mahina will be affected but we will try to maintain access to the beach area on the southside of the property. Check back for updates on the progress and view the webcam on Hale Mahina’s website for a real-time picture of the work.

🐓🦎 Pest Control and Roosters

Due to Maui’s rural location, you may experience the occasional rooster or harmless gecko.
Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaiʻi.
The HOA performs regular pest control, but insects and lizards are part of island life.
Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected — contact us if you notice more than normal activity, and we’ll coordinate with the HOA. These occurrences do not constitute a refund or rental adjustment.

Hawaiʻi’s tropical environment supports geckos, ants & occasional roosters.
Despite regular pest control, these are part of everyday island living.
Any contact with such pests does not constitute a breach of agreement or qualify for refunds or adjustments.

Honokowaii is a wonderful neighborhood on the Westside of the island with shops, farmers market, food truck park, restaurants, grocery store, and beach park.

The layout: *The entire complex of Hale Mahina does NOT have AC. This condo has ceiling fans in every room and an ocean breeze almost everyday* Common area: This two story loft style condo features an open floor plan consisting of a fully remodeled equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, Smart TV with cable, couch with sitting chairs, ceiling fan, and work desk area. Primary Suite: Upstairs loft bedroom featuring bamboo flooring, a King size bed, and an ensuite bathroom with sink vanity, shower/tub combo, fans, & plenty of cabinet space. Second bedroom: Two twin size beds, fans, closet space, and en suite bathroom. This bathroom features a shower/tub combo and single sink vanity. This condo features a in unit washer/dryer. Lanai: Dining table with 4 chairs. There is beach gear for your use which includes beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler. Stay Aloha provides a generous essentials kit. This includes laundry, 16oz luxury organic bath, and kitchen essentials. We do not supply extra after what is stocked. There is an Aloha welcome gift for you upon arrival as well. No parking or resort fees. We have a $50 Damage Insurance Fee that covers up to $1500 in damage for our guests. Accidents happen and we have you covered. This area offers restaurants, beach gear rentals, farmers market, and little shops all within walking distance. Close drive to Kapalua, Kaanapali, and Lahaina town this perfectly located on the westside. Hale Mahina has elevators, free parking, and is one of the best locations in the Honokowaii area. PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. *We make no guarantee that properties around to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic, or other guests.
